Enter your vehicle weight in lbs, and engine horsepower, then click either of the grey buttons to calculate your approximate 1/4 mile ET (seconds) and trap speed (mph). Calculations to determine the trap speed are generally the most accurate, because they are largely independant of the suspension and traction, and even the vehicle gearing (within limits). However, the throttle must be wide open for essentially all of the run (launch excluded) and the vehicle maintained as close to the power peak of the engine by appropriately shifting. Calculations to determine the ET assume the vehicle is not traction limited i.e. a vehicle with drag race type suspension, racing slicks and who's gearing is optimized for the 1/4 mile, and the throttle in wide open for the entire run. Remember to use the combined weight of vehicle and driver.
